Thank You for Your Patience Through Helene

Now that we are past Hurricane Helene’s wrath, we wanted to share how much we appreciate your cooperation and understanding with our system recovery efforts. Beginning on September 27, power was lost to your water system, and we were only able to power our pumps and systems through the use of auxiliary generators.

Many of you also went days without electricity and experienced low water pressure or no water. As such, we advised all customers to boil water for consumption as a precaution until we could get continuous power back and pressurize the system.  

We did our best to provide daily communications to you about your area’s status, though of course, it is hard to check e-mail, phone, the Blue Granite website, and/or social media without electricity.

We are proud of how we all rose to the occasion and prioritized safety of your water services and our workers. This took long hours and determination from all our employees, and we are glad to move forward.

Pictured are generators we took to Florida once you all were back online, so they would have them for Hurricane Milton.
