August is Water Quality Month and 2024 is the 50th Anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act!
Passed in 1974, the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) set strong water quality standards for the nation’s drinking water and established a regulatory framework to safeguard public health. We recognize the act’s significant contributions to improving and protecting water quality and celebrate our team members who work hard to deliver safe, reliable water service every day!
Join us in celebrating by taking a moment to review your Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), and learn about the rigorous testing and monitoring that goes into delivering safe, clean water to homes and businesses.
What is a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR)?
A CCR is a detailed document provided by your water utility that outlines the quality of your drinking water.
You can find yearly CCRs published on our website. From the navigation bar, hover over the Water Safety tab. Click to select "Water Quality Reports", then scroll down to select your area.
What is included in your Water Quality Report?
- Results of our water quality testing.
- Where your water comes from.
- What we’re doing to help protect our drinking water sources.
- How you can protect precious water resources and more!
What can you do to support Water Quality?
Help protect our precious water resources for future generations. Your CCR provides tips to find and fix household water leaks, prevent sewer overflows and backups, and properly dispose of prescription and over-the-counter medication.
If you have any questions or concerns, we are here to help! Stay informed, stay safe, and celebrate reliable water utility services.
