Sunshine Water Services is dedicated to providing reliable quality service, a mission which requires continuously making critical investments to upgrade our local water and wastewater systems. In 2024, we are investing approximately $36 million— including 2,700 feet of water main and 3,200 feet of wastewater main installations.
Much of the country’s water and wastewater systems often go unnoticed, despite the fact that they deliver life-sustaining and public health support every single day. These aging systems require continuous investment to avoid crisis situations like those seen in communities where such glaring needs are ignored. At Sunshine Water, we intentionally plan and work hard to upgrade our local systems so that customers can continue to trust the service we deliver now and in the future.
Our customers ultimately support these important investments by paying their bill. Current investments in local water and wastewater systems include, among others, the following:
- Upgrading water treatment processes to support continued compliance with drinking water standards
- Installing smart technology meters to support accurate usage readings
- Constructing a new well to support demand
- Upgrading and increasing capacity, respectively, at two wastewater treatment plants
- Installing 2,700 feet of water main for reliable service delivery
- Installing 3,200 feet of wastewater main for sustainable sewer service
