Monitoring Requirements Not Met for Golden Hills Golf & Turf

Nov 14, 2023

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATER

Monitoring Requirements Not Met for Golden Hills Golf & Turf

We are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards. During the second week of August 2023, we did not monitor for disinfection by-products and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of our drinking water during that time.

Some people who drink water containing trihalomethanes in excess of the MCL over many years may experience problems with their liver, kidneys, or central nervous system, and may have an increased risk of getting cancer.

Some people who drink water containing haloacetic acids in excess of the MCL over many years may have an increased risk of getting cancer.

    What should I do?

There is nothing you need to do at this time.

What happened? What is being done?

We have since taken the required samples on September 1, 2023. The sample results were well below the MCL (maximum contaminant level) for trihalomethanes & haloacetic acids.
