Fairbanks Sewer & Water, the parent company of Golden Heart Utilities and College Utilities, is making critical investments to upgrade Fairbanks' water and wastewater systems. Last year we invested approximately $10.7 million.
This year, approximately $11.5 million of investment includes over 4,300 feet of water main, 4,500 feet of sewer main installations, and vital upgrades at the water treatment and wastewater treatment plants.
While much of the country's water and wastewater systems often go unnoticed, they deliver life-sustaining and public health support every single day. We work hard to upgrade our systems so our customers can continue to trust the service we deliver, now and in the future. Our customers support these important investments through payment for utility services.
