Hurricane Helene Recovery Update for October 3

As we tackle this catastrophic event in Western NC, we are committed to keeping our customers updated on our progress.

Our Customers:
We continue to procure and distribute supplemental water and service equipment systemwide. Some areas remain inaccessible, and we are trying hard to reach everyone as quickly & safely possible. Please know our teams are working tirelessly to get to everyone as soon as we can.

Our Systems:
Our crews are working around the clock, and we are coordinating with local Emergency Management Agencies. We are making progress and many systems have come back online fully or partially. All systems in West NC - except Bear Paw and The Ridges at Mountain Harbor - remain under a Boil Water Advisory. We are issuing notifications and updates to customers via phone, email, or text notification based on customer preferences. We will notify as soon as the BWA is lifted for a community.

Safety:
It’s at the forefront of all we do. Please remain vigilant in navigating roads, woods and water. Due to the effects of Hurricane Helene, we strongly advise customers in recreational areas to avoid any physical contact with or swimming in all lakes, streams, rivers, etc. in the area until further notice.
